"Sustainable Catholic Schools, the sustainability of Catholic Church schools in the past"
The Eötvös József Research Centre for Religion and Society of the National University of Public Service and the Research Institute for the Integrity of Creation of the St. Pope John Paul II Research Centre of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University successfully organised the event titled "Sustainable Catholic Schools, the sustainability of Catholic Church schools in the past".
The venue of the event was the Zrínyi Miklós Hall of the Ludovika Main Building of the National University of Public Service. The interested audience and invited guests were able to learn about the questions related to the sustainability of Catholic church schools from the mid-1400s to the present day through a variety of presentations.
Viktor Zsódi, Provincial President of the Hungarian Province of the Piarist Order and Dr. Bernát Török, Director of the Eötvös József Research Centre gave a welcome speech at the event. The presentations were moderated by the section leaders.
The event was supported in the framework of the project "Sustainability, resilience - the societal challenges of climate change and adaptation" (Funded by the Ministry of Technology and Industry - ID: EKPPF/922/2021-ITM_SZERZ), by the KaPI sub-project: Environmental education and activities in Catholic public education and vocational training institutions: The purpose of the planned sub-project is to contribute from the practical side of educational science and pedagogy to the presentation of research results achieved in public education in the framework of the project "Sustainability, resilience - the societal challenges of climate change and adaptation" led by the Research Institute for the Integrity of Creation of PPCU, and to create an interactive knowledge base for the teaching of conservation knowledge. The staff of the Research Institute will design the professional content in close cooperation with the Catholic Pedagogical Institute, with a preliminary plan for the period between 2023-2025.
